Howdy... :~> uname -a Linux msbhpmain.site 3.16.6-2-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Oct 20 13:47:22 UTC 2014 (feb42ea) x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Desktop is LXDE GTK version (base LXDE 0.5.5) that ships in new / current openSUSE 13.2 Using the mouse or keyboard to select an area of text does not "stick". A fraction of a second after selecting the area, the highlight disappears and the selected area is no longer marked. Example: after mouse-selecting an area of text to delete from a writable document, before I can press the 'delete' key the selection area is unmarked and if I press 'delete' key at this point the only thing deleted is the spot where the cursor is, at the end of the area I intended to delete. Apparently the selected area HAS been copied to the clipboard (it's visible in parcellite) and then deselected in the actual document. This is different from the expected action and different from previous versions. It's also extremely annoying. Question: Is this a bug, or an intended new 'feature', or simply a misconfiguration somewhere in my setup? Thanks in advance for any clues.
