I've compiled qterminal and have tested it in classic LXDE (Debian 8 repo) by renaming lxterminal to lxterminal-ORIG, and setting a symlink named lxterminal to qterminal.
Yes, as Paulo Lieuthier stated in the other thread yesterday, qterminal does not start detached, and that better suits my needs. Here's a suggestion for improving it: It would be useful if the caption (ie. title) could be changed programmatically by the user's calling script or program, as much like in lxterminal (see lxterminal --help). Because, when there are many terminals open then all have identical title, but then finding the right one is not easy :-( lxterminal changes the title from "LXTerminal" to "user@host: /cur/dir" if the owner changes (ie. by doing su/sudo). Perhaps qterminal should do similar. -- Thx ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Lxde-list mailing list Lxde-list@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/lxde-list
