The repository at github.com/lxde is not needed the first time you want to contribute to the translations but can be useful if you want to update the cloned repository in your GitHub account at a later date, e. g. when some additional strings were added.
On the other hand I'm not under the impression that taking the repository github.com/lxde into account is making the (admittedly not too convenient) approach described in wiki page "Translation" even more complicated. So did you face issues attempting to follow the steps depicted in that page? I just followed them once more here locally and everything seemed to work fine, but maybe I missed something. Maybe we should state that a string like "_comp" in the name of a new branch does not make sense when a contributor wants to translate all components. But on the other hand the name of those branches is completely arbitrary anyway. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, SlashDot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ Lxde-list mailing list Lxde-list@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/lxde-list
