Yes, that is right, that's why I did checkout, compile & install Qt5 from sources (branch 5.10)

I built Qt5.0.1 in the past under debian squeeze (maybe?) while migrating an accounting and invoicing program named Bulmages from Qt4 to Qt5. During those days, Qt5 was being added to testing/sid being the official packages of the current stable release in Qt4. Backports are possible, i mean... But this is not a general affirmation, because it depends on several factors like the version of
cmake, libstd++, etc.
