The xorg.conf file I tried, didn't have as much information, only
Section, Identifier, Modleine and EndSection. Which seems to be a basic
way of setting it, but where it didn't come up in the specified
resolution, made me believe that it wasn't recognized by X at all.

I've since deleted the Gnome Box containing the Fedora install, I simply
spent too much time trying to get it work, that I decided to try other
distributions instead. The other LXQt installs work successfully, so I
still believe it was an issue specific to Fedora.
