Sounds like it. MacPorts are just very similar to BSD ports and are supposed to be separate from the OS, which gets updated less often. Can't wait for Apple to release fixes for things like SSL… I just wish Apple would get fully behind MacPorts and spend less time fiddling with all the posix stuff! Well, one is allowed to wish!
