In the oldest form these were numeral, currency, and time-stamp forms, with keyboard separate--none of which affects the display character set, the only setting of interest to Lynx. But in Vista, if not earlier, there are also "Locale" 00000409 and "LocaleName" en-US, besides a greater host of (to Lynx) irrelevant formats.
