Lynx is text-only (it relies on external programs for displaying images).
That is configured using the "mailcap" files in one's home directory and
on the system, e.g.,
$HOME/.mailcap
/etc/mailcap
Most of the image content will go away if you configure it to accept only
lynx's internal types in the "Preferred media type" setting.
For filtering text - I don't know...
