Thanks a lot for your prompt reply!
I'm not sure I know how to "compile a debug-executable" /-:
However, I was able to workaround this using a while loop that kills a lynx
process that is running more than n seconds. This way the 'problematic URL'
is being waived out and my script continues (which is what I wanted to
achieve here).
