I’d vote for “similar”. We use ~/.etc/bookmark.htm in MirBSD but
XDG directories are more portable (although newer than the ~/.etc/
movement in MirBSD), so I vote for:
${XDG_DATA_HOME:-${HOME}/.local/share}/lynx_bookmarks.htm
