about:blank is a pseudo URI used by various web application processors
(like IE and Firefox) to request a completely blank page be displayed.
I suspect the page is a web application, not a traditional HTML page
(HTML5 is intended for web applications not documents). You need the
heavyweight browsers to process web applications.
