Hi,
Debian's package checker lintian noticed a wrong license name in the
copyright file of Debian's lynx package. Elimar Riesebieter suggested
that the source for this error may be Lynx' source itself, and indeed:
→ git grep 'GNU Public'
ABOUT-NLS:package. Of course the GNU Public License applies to your sources
from
COPYHEADER:distribute their work under the terms and conditions of the GNU
Public
PACKAGE/debian/copyright:distribute their work under the terms and conditions
of the GNU Public
po/makefile.inn:# be used in projects which are not available under the GNU
Public License
src/UCdomap.c: * The GNU Public Licence therefore applies, see
I recommend to change all these occurrences of "GNU Public License" to
"GNU General Public License" as there is no such "GNU Public License".
(BTW: I also noticed inconsistent spelling, sometimes "License" is
used, sometimes "Licence". You might want to unify these spellings,
too, while you're at it. It shouldn't matter which of the two
spellings is chosen.)
Kind regards, Axel
