Presently on the talkingarch system as a result of a locate libcrypto
command being run we have the following for output:
/usr/lib/libcrypto.so
/usr/lib/libcrypto.so.1.0.0
/usr/lib/pkgconfig/libcrypto.pc
What is not on this system is libcrypto.a.

All of this happens on a newly installed talkingarchlinux system. Am I
missing a package or do I need to configure something?
It usually means the cert bundle needs updating (or installing).
