The default background color in lynx is black but it's well known that the background color should be about the same light intensity as the field of view. Thus most computers use a light background on the screen like dim white, light green, etc with dark foreground (such as black). The situation with default lynx is aggravated by wide sreen PC monitors since one normally only uses about half of the screen width with the other half completely black.
I use 4 virtual consoles, each with a different background color so any forground color scheme needs to be different for each background color so that there is good contrast between the fore- and back- grounds. While what is needed is many more (non-lynx) color options on virtual terminals, lynx should have at least one color scheme with a light backgound (which should be the default). _______________________________________________ Lynx-dev mailing list [email protected] https://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lynx-dev
