i imagine the NOFRAMES section is displayed to comply with HTML specs
& because it might have useful information (eg what the frames contain).

these seem to be getting rarer: it helps to tell sites they are wrong.
it's very unlikely Lynx will stop displaying NOFRAMES as a default
& not much more likely that yet another user option would be added.
