As far as lynx knows, it means that the server sent a
    "HTTP/1.1 404 not found"
response.  (You forgot a slash it seems.)

Why the server did that should be explained in the body of the
message, duly displayed by Lynx.  If that doesn't explain enough,
that's nothing lynx can do anything about.
