The problem is not lynx, forget it :-)

I finally figured out that there is an image submit button
 <input type="image" name="action" src="blah">
that sets the form values 'action.x=#&action.y=#'
Lynx sets the numbers to zero, of course, but their server code
can't handle this.

Wish me luck in getting those twits to fix it :-)
