Well, here lynx has never crashed when doing ftp. The ftp site you mention,
ftp.dec.com, doesn't accept anonymous login and consequently I couldn't do a
test. However, I have no problems downloading all the lynx-cur.* files from
ftp://ftp.digital.com/pub/net/infosys/lynx/current/ (�110 kbytes/second) and
ftp://lynx.isc.org/current/ (�85 kbytes/second). Probably there is a problem
with your version of lynx or with your system.
