In the configuration definitions, I have:
color_curses 'yes'
func_assume_default_colors 'yes'
func_use_default_colors 'yes'
COLOR_CURSES 1
HAVE_ASSUME_DEFAULT_COLORS 1
HAVE_USE_DEFAULT_COLORS 1
USE_DEFAULT_COLORS 1
Let me know if there are other configuration info that it would help
to know...
Anyways, when I start up lynx now, I get the grat background I expected.
I get black text for 'static' (non-link) text. Links are blue text on a
white background and the current link is red text on a white background.
When I change the lightgray to default, I get the expected behavior. When
I change it to gray, I get the color on black rather than gray.
So by changing the colors to default, I got back to where I was before...
