I've never seen a VT220 terminal nor I have its manual.

Could you explain that better? I'm not sure I understood what you meant.

I know what we're talking about but I tried vttest once again just for you
pleasure, with the latest vttest version available on your ftp site, and got
the same results I've always got: my VT102 terminal emulator passed the
"numeric keypad" test flawlessly in VT100 and VT52 emulations, in application
and numeric modes. And I'm not going to lie just to prove my point. Now are
you convinced that the behaviour of the numeric keypad of my terminal
emulator is correct? Now ask Klaus to do the same with his terminal.

Just one more thing: it's not by bashing slang that you're going to make
ncurses better or make it to be accepted by people who prefer slang. You're
doing a good work with ncurses and everybody will profit from yoour work but,
as Henry says nor slang nor ncurses is perfect. Instead of saying "this
happens because slang does that" or this happens because slang doesn't do
that", why don't we work together to make lynx better? With slang and
ncurses.
