There are patent and copyright issues preventing this. You can build your
own that includes SSL support. The patent part may be expiring relatively
soon, so at some point in the indefinite future there may be a SLIGHTLY
easier way to get an SSL lynx, but it will never be in one package because
the SSL stuff is not open source..

Speaking of cookies, whatever happened to the "really accept everything"
discussion that went around months ago (and probably several times over
the years)?
I actually only see _one_ invalid cookie in my routine usage of Lynx, but
I always have to say 'yes' to it. As much as I understand and theoretically
agree with the "keep Lynx pure and following the rules", I also wish
I could just TELL it to accept everything, even if it gives a WARNING message
at the bottom of the screen (which I can basically ignore as I have -nopause).
(Speaking of "keeping it pure", iCab at www.icab.de does good html validation)
