Well I just tested by myself ;-)
I used Lynx 2.8.4dev.4 with Slang 1.4.0 with Japanese patch.
Unfortunately or not it has the same problem as the previous version
yet.
When I input Japanese characters into a form area, it displays
wrong characters.
Perhaps this is a problem of Slang (or its patch) but not of lynx
itself. I only report the result for (future?) reference.
