I only test-compiled on Linux and Digital Unix. If the machines at work
are up, I'll check that on SunOS 4.x (K&R), though I have a hunch we'll
have problems (that box doesn't have y2k fixes, and the 2-digit year
should come up ";0" today).

oops - you're right (sorry - long day). For the next patch, I'd like to
concentrate on the little scattered fixes.
