lynx-dev mouse support

I've tried and tried to get the mouse support in lynx working with
gpm under linux console, but have so far failed. I've recompiled
ncurses, gpm, and lynx at least half a dozen times.

So far no luck.

Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?
