Actually, in a Bourne shell it's only a comment character if it's
at the beginning of the line or preceded by whitespace or certain
metacharacters.

The OP is saying that if you "lynx -dump" a URL with a bookmark, the
output should start at the bookmark.  I'm not so sure I agree with that.
