I have forwarded your mail to the LyX developers mailing list.

I am using the pre-release V.1.0.0 on a Redhat Linux 5.1 system.

Lyx is a great idea, and I like it alot, but there are a few problems
I feel it is important to point out:

1) It is apparently not possible to delete brackets from around a
displayed math equation. That is, if I use the [] button to create
a bracket set, then insert an equation into it, then change my mind
about wanted the brackets, I can not delete the brackets without
deleting the equation inside. I must delete the entire thing and
retype the equation - this is a major pain.

2) Apparently one can not hilight/cut/copy an equation that is inside
brackets without including the brackets. #1 wouldn't be so bad if this
were possible.

3) On the math panel, under decorations, please consider adding one and
two over-dots as new decorations. I think in Latex this is dot{} and
ddot{}, but could be wrong.

Also, there is a problem with latex-ing revtex documents. I suspect
this is a problem on my end, but never the less any help is appreciated:
When I exported my document (a revtex document) to latex, then latex-ed
it by hand, latex complained that /normalsize was an undefined control
sequence. I have used TEXINPUTS to specify the location of the style
files and such. I have done a:
setenv TEXINPUTS /usr/lib/texmf/texmf//:.
Normally this works fine - but revtex Lyx documents have the above
problem. I was going to try to do a revtex document in vers. 1.0.0,
but I can't see how to specify a Revtex document in the Layout->Document
menu - what should I do?

Thank you,
Greg Huey
