Here is the exact statistics: I made 5 connections for each stat. Connection time is the time after DNS lookup till I see the first page on my lynx screen. At 8AM USC, the average connection time to www.sunsite.auc.dk was a bit over 15 sec, for www.lyx.org, a bit over 3s. At 9AM USC, the average connection time to www.sunsite.auc.dk was a bit over 2 sec, for www.lyx.org, a bit over 2s. At 8, I did use a different machine though.
