Sorry everybody,

Where I typed twopage below, I of course meant twoside.

My apologies.

Subject: Problem with book.cls & fancyhdr

Hello all,

I have what might be a bug report, but I do hesitate to call it that.

Using ver 1.0.0 Feb 1 1999 of LyX, and 3.14159 of TeX
(teTeX 0.9, from the Debian dist), I've run across a problem
when using the book class with fancy headers.

Anyways, the example on page 13 of the fancy header docs doesn't
work. It seems that the twopage option needs to be defined explicity. That
is, if I go back and hand edit an exported TeX file from LyX, to include

\documentclass[twopage]{book}

rather than

\documentclass[]{book}

then I can get both odd and even headers. Without the twopage
option added I can only get either an even or odd page header.

I'm sure if this is strictly a problem with LyX, as my understanding is
that the default for book.cls *should* be twopage.

(BTW, I don't normally subscribe to the dev. list, not being a developer,
so if anyone has any questions or comments, could you cc them to me.)

Thanks all (esp. for the great program that LyX is!)
Rod Pinna.
