Yes, that is indeed a great problem. It was a great problem for me with
the first translations. You think everything the LyXDoc Tem wrote is
absolute truth and may not be changed in any way. And you end up in
doig literal translations. While, as you say, that doesn't result in
wrong information, it often is hard to read.
But the only way I see to get around it id - translate more docs and
learn. You get a feeling for the language and what the original author
wanted to say. Then, if you understood it, write it with your words.

Indeed, some of the jokes I don't understand. Not to speak of a try to
translate them...
