egcs-1.1.1 compiles and runs okay --with-included-string and using
SGI_STL-3.13. It does give a large number of warnings for lyxstrings.C
though. I'm recompiling --without-included-string to see what difference
that makes and then I might go to bed. But I'll pay closer attention to
the warnings first.
