Hi all!

Have some wishes/suggestions for the next version of LyX :))

LyX internal ...

1. Character Styles Strikethrough & Changebar
( it would be great, if there was an option to automatically set
changebars on to everey added character )
Ok, it's possible to add it via direct latexing, but that's not
   the way of "wysiwym" imho.
2. a possibility to add/modify named character layouts in the config
files (imho that's what emph, noun etc. would be better done as)
3. conditional text (might be treated in a very similar way like
named character styles; except for the fact, that their visibilty
(or appearance in exported files) may be switched on/off)
4. A flag to switch on/off things like toggle-behaviour off
shape-italic (for a few reasons it might be senseful not to
toggle italics, if e.g. italics overlaps with emphasis)
5. other types of cross-referencing than just "Ref" & "Pageref" -
   e.g. also with user-definable form
6. cross-references accross files; if someone e.g. edits different
   chapters in different files
7. a possibility to start with a certain section/chapter no. in a file
   (same reason).
8. user-definable variables? :))

User interface ...

9. A possibility to add some user-defined styles into the
   layout tool bar.

any comments about these ?
