fyi, -w is a switch sort of like -wall in gcc, i.e., it tells you about
legal but dangerous things. The perl docs say it's a bug that -w isn't
mandatory. -S is a magic switch that's used on different platforms. It tells
Perl to use PATH when searching for the script.
