Hello all! I am new to the list, so I must introduce myself: I am currently
neither a Linux user, nor a LyX user. I want to learn about them because I have
a problem I cannot solve with my PC and Windows (Is this a forbidden word? ;-)).
I want to write texts in a special notation (see attached gif). All the symbols
are different glyphs which are positioned according to the context. The greek
letters must be placed to the bottom. Is this posible to be done automaticaly
with LyX? Can I extend it to support contexts and X-Y placements of the glyphs
like this? It's something like writing complex maths. I already have the
TrueType font files. How can I port them to LyX?
I am a Computer Engineer, I know Java very well but I can also recall the
under-graduate course of C and C++! Will this be possible for me? Is the code
free as in all Lynux applications? Is it possible to write something like an
extension to LyX, so I don't have to mess up your code? This will help me use
later releases of your product, without having to mess it up again!
Thank you very much, I hope I will find the solution I search for in Linux and
LyX. Please HELP!
