It could, as euler.sty, to use the euler fonts. Note however the
mathptm gives a poor result, as building a real math font (with real
kerning, etc.) is a huge work and no free version exist (yet).

This is the real and commercial version of times math fonts I was
alluding to :)
However, just adding such options here and there will not get us very
far. We should have a better font selection mechanism allowing to
select separately the roman. serif and sans serif font (avoiding the
stupid times.sty package), or the concrete fonts (beton.sty) and some
others. This is on my virtual to-do list for ages.
