Hallo,
I use Lyx Version 1.0.0 of Feb 1, 1999. After cutting a pice of text
with 'C-x' and pasting it with 'C-v' Lyx crashed with a SIGSEGV. I think
that pasting with 'C-v' does not work correctly on my system ('S-Insert'
works fine). AFAIK Lyx does not use its internal buffer, but use the
"System-Clipboard", so I paste "strange" characters in the document (I
does not know where they come from).
After reloading the emergency file which also contains this "strange"
characters and scrolling to this section in the document, Lyx will
crash. So I think its a display problem.
I have make a small Lyx file to reproduce this error:

Sorry, I have no debug version so I can not produce a backtrace. Also I
looked at the CHANGES-File on www.lyx.org, but did not found something
about a fix of this problem in a newer version (my modem connection is
very slow, so I have not download the new Lyx-version).
My system infos are:
