Thanks for the flattering, but I don't see many 'important' things that
need to be 'ported'. Those macros and path cleanups should be
'portable' with a bit of cut and paste :-) And the suggestions are just
ideas.

Well, as nice as LyX-programming is, first of all I need a program to
write, not to hack with :). So my enthusiasm for 1.1.x was at first a
bit limited. But who knows...
