  In docbook there would be usefull to have several optional named arguments,
for each layout. And then to be able to control the layout optional arguments.

 For example, layout A accepts optional arguments opt1,opt2 and opt3, while
layout B only accepts opt2.

 Do you think that enforcement is possible without the textclass to become
too complex.

 Something that could be usefull is to specify a set of optional arguments
and then to say that one layout accpets one set. Incidentally thats the way
the dtd are made.
