I don't think there has been done something for this as we are not aware of the problem, so I really don't know what to tell you. How do you copy the tabular? I select the tabular from the last character of the paragraph before till the first character of the paragraph after the tabular. Then use Edit->Copy (or I used Ctrl-C) and in the newfile I just do Ctrl-V (or edit->paste).
