lyx-0.10.7-Beta

Hi!
        I always thought that Lyx will read and compile LaTeX files (at least
the new versions) but Lyx-0.10.7 Beta refuses to do so (unless there is
some other way to do it other than, `open file' mode). The www.lyx.org
site seems to be down. So I can't find out the users' mailing list
address. So I am sending to bug-report instead. Pardon me for this
`crime'!. But please advice me course of action to solve this!
