correct me if i am wrong, but the only issue is the availability of qt4 right?

atm this seems to sum it up on linux for the major distros:

    * Arch Linux (4.1.4)
    * Debian Etch (testing) 4.1.3 (some 4.1.2)
    * Debian Sid (unstable) 4.1.3
    * Fedora 4 4.1.4
    * Fedora 5 4.1.4
    * Red Hat 9 4.1.4
    * Red Hat Ent 4 4.1.4
    * SUSE 10.0 4.1.4
    * SUSE 10.1 4.1.4
    * Ubuntu Dapper 4.1.2

and by the time all the unicode stuff is ironed out it will be 2007 anyway...

(i don't see how qt4 is different in terms of packaging than qt3)

ah, vous êtes français !

1. profound suspicion of, and resistance to change
2. all change must happen through revolution

as someone who has been living in paris for the last 3 years i suddenly feel
strangely at home...
