Hi,
Let me first say i am very impressed by Lyx, and the level of traffic
on both
the users and devel list. I am still trying to learn where things are in
the
source, and to get familiar with the coding style, so please bear with me if i
have missed something that is already implemented.
now the disclaimers are out of the way,
What i would like is the ability to have constant line spacing in the
gui work
area. to be more specific, at the moment the the spacing between the lines is
affected by both ERT buttons and other special commands, what i would like is
the ability to have a displayed line spacing that would even this out which
would make reading/scanning a document while editing text easier. it would be
even better if we could set it to be also 1x, 1.5x, 2x etc displayed on the
screen.
I am going to try and implement something along the above lines, but any
pointers would be greatly appreciated...
Something along these lines that would also be great is if someone
could put up
a list of easy to implement enhancements on the web somewhere with pointers as
to what to do, this would help newbee's to Lyx like me, we could attempt to
implement these enhancments, so as to aid with learning the code, and there by
we can contribute something in the early stages...
