It's kind of strong to state that he's "wrong". Can you say for sure this is how *all* versions of powerpoint has worked? > Having both a "Close Window" menu entry and an X button is not necessary. A menu entry has the advantage that it allows you to see the keyboard shortcut for closing the window. But maybe there is some other way to let users know this.
