could you please be a bit more specific on what you want to update? If I 
read your mail correctly, LyX does not work with Qt 4.2.2. So what's the 
point of upgrading to an unusable library?

BTW: Since when can we use Trolltech's library directly? I thought that 
we have to patch the GPL version and re-compile it with MSVC....
