A "comment" can appear in any place of a LaTeX file. Why not before \maketitle? LaTeX does not have any problems with such comments in native tex files, there is something wrong in LyX-generated-tex files. I believe this should be marked as a LyX error, then. > Jacek> (Note: I'm not an advanced user of revtex4/LaTeX, I still use > Jacek> the old-fashioned "thebibiliography" environment.) > > And is it a problem to skip the bibinfo parts? In "thebibiliography" environment bibinfo does not appear at all. The bibinfo is related to Revtex4-BibTeX-style only (note that I have never used it up to now so I have no experience with it). > http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=367 It is correct to say that the PACS and Keywords lines follow the same indentation as the abstract in LaTeX. Personally, I don't care that much that they are misaligned in the LyX window (as in the generated PS files they are fine). On the other hand, I do not see that the first paragraph is glued to the Keywords line. I see enough space between the Keywords line and the first paragraph (to my taste, of course). Could be more, if you like. Similarly you could argue that ... ... LyX puts each single author name in a separate line, while in the generated PS file they are in one single line, separated by commas, and additionally, before the last name, there is the word "and" ... ... or that fonts, in the LyX window, for author names, email, affiliation, PACS, Keywords, section titles, ..., is incorrect in the LyX window ... ... or that the "date" field looks different in the LyX window, from what you get in the PS file ... BUT ... WHO CARES? I DON'T! If you know how to easily improve it ... I'd be glad to have it ... It would be nice to have everything looking exactly the same way in the LyX window as in PS file ... but ... it is not that much important. Note that in my original first email, I reported another inconvenience related to these two words (PACS and Keywords), for which I care more than about the issues mentioned above. There are even more important issues ... the "\appendix*" is totally missing in LyX (also mentioned in my original mail) ... and for that particular issue, there is no way to overcome it in LyX ... > Then, I guess this one is fixed now, right? > http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1215 Sure, I added AltAffiliation to the patch. Note that, the solution proposed in the above link explicitly forces the optional text as "Also at: ", which should not be done (and it is not done in the patch where I added AltAffiliation, adding also the possibility to provide such optional text). > Yes, I did receive it, and I apologize for not responding. I think > we'll use your version,. Note that, there were two mails with european.kmap and I reported some problems in them, too. Especially \oe, \OE ... Best regards, Jacek.
