Can you please send us a backtrace? Then it is probably easy to find the
reason for the bug.

Maybe the spaces in the path are the reason for the latter. Can you check
whether that happens also if the path contains only accents and no spaces?

Yes, this is good, and your feedback is welcome. If you don't get a fix
within a few days please post both bugs also at http://bugzilla.lyx.org so
they don't get forgotten.
