Me neither.
There's still some work to do in the metrics cache to properly support
Arabic. I think that's the reason.

It could also be related to another place where font_norm_type was queried.
If yes, then this is fixed now with my latest commit.

Maybe but to clarify my point: The char transformation happens at painting time, this is the reason why it is correct on screen. The cursor position calculation happens (I think) at metrics calculation time were no transformation happened.
