Hi Marc,
As you seem to know what you are doing, may I ask you to test current
SVN instead? If you'd prefer a snapshot a of source tree I can send
this to you privately. But installing SVN is no big deal really.
TortoiseSVN especially is pretty good.

I tested with the svn from March 30 and it seems not to crash anymore
when rendering :).
Good!
I got a pre-build version as I only have several versions of visual
studio but no gcc environment at the moment.
MSVC2005 is what we use for windows development (well except Enrico who
use cygwin/gcc), so you should feel at home here. We use the CMake build
system to generate Visual studio project. See? You have no excuse! :-)
Another CJK issue is that while I can type Japanese, I don't see the
IME popup and I don't see what I am typing. Only when pressing
enter, the text is inserted and visualized.
We have a patch from a Japanese developer for proper input method
support. Unfortunately I did not find the time yet to clean it up.
At the moment I can always type in notepad and copy-paste my text :).
Should you need some help with getting it to work, please ask. While
I'm mostly programming in pure win32 on embedded devices nowadays, we
also use QT for our desktop applications.
Yes, we _need_ your help, definitely !!!
Especially now that I've committed improved CJK support from Iwami (a
new LyX developer from Japan). Please test as soon as you can.
Thanks in advance,
Abdel.
