if i delete my session file then i don't have auto toolbars, which i
only get after setting it through the menu
i reverted to rev 17866 (before my changes) and it turns out that it is
the same there
(at least it is unrelated to my toolbar changes)
the initial auto settings are not taken into consideration somewhere. i
wonder how long this has been the case...
