How do I commit single file deletions?

If I do 'svn remove foo ; svn commit foo' nothing happens. It
probably will get committed on 'svn commit .' but that's not nice if
there are other changes in the tree, too.

I always commit from top source directory, and in this case, you do
not have to specify any file or directory.
