I assume that what Andre means is that there's no "wraparound" at the
bottom / top of the document when searching. It would be a nice feature
to have. I see now that it's already been requested:

This should probably be implemented in combination with a solution to
http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2674 (Find and replace should
restore initial cursor position) --- that way, the wraparound search
would also know when the entire document has been searched...
